Once Atashi had gotten back to her house she had curled up on her bed and cried for an hour. When she finally got control of herself she began to unpack. The last thing she removed from her suitcase was a large stack of old letters. Letters from Andrew-sempai. Though Andrew was the same age as her he was much smarter. He had quickly passed beyond her, skipping grade after grade until he reached university age. Atashi could still remember the ache in her heart that she'd felt when he'd first left. She lived for the letters he sent her and she poured over them every day. They meant so much to her... That he trusted her and thought of her as enough of a friend to share his life with her. Though... Maybe he hadn't trusted her as much as she thought. He had never told her about the girl he had had fallen in love with in his letters. She had only found out when she confessed her own love to him. Now he was teaching at another university. And this time, Atashi was almost glad he was gone. Seeing him again would cause her already broken heart to shatter into a million pieces.

Nioko burst into the house running inside. "Yay! Home!" She went into the kitchen and climbed up onto the counter to get herself a glass, and got some water. She gulped it down fast. After looking around the city by the park, she was tired. After settling down a bit she had heard sobs. Has someone moved in? She jumped off the counter and walked down the hallway and followed the sounds. "Hello?" She walked into the room and looked at the girl. "Are... you okay?"

Atashi gasped shocked to be greeted by another person. She hadn't known anyone had lived in Lluvia besides herself. Even more shocked was she to see a girl at least 5 years her junior, probably more so. She wiped her tears away trying to smile. "I'm fine... I'm just... A little homesick I guess..." Homesick... Heartsick... Was there a difference? Andrew had made his home inside her heart without ever knowing it. Now he was violently trying to get out. She could almost feel claws ripping at her insides.
Atashi put the letters in the dresser making a mental note not to look at them for some time. She hadn't realized that she was even crying again until the girl had walked into the room. She took a minute now to look that girl over. She was extremely skinny which gave her a fragile look, but by the tattered state of the clothes she wore and the many scratches of childhood play that marked her body, Atashi could tell that the girl was anything but fragile. Still, being a motherly sort of person, she wanted nothing more than to scoop the little ragamuffin into a big hug and whisper tender, comforting things as mothers do. Atashi did none of this and instead offered a simple greeting and a question, "I'm Atashi. What's your name? Are you going to be living in this house as well?"
((Keep in mind that when Atashi introduces herself she'd say "Atashi wa Atashi" or "I am I." A lot of children Nioko's age would probably find that funny. ^-^))

Nioko gave a little giggle. "Hiya! I'm Nioko Miroshi!" She walked over and sat in front of the girl. "Yeah I'm gunna live here. My parents thought it would be best if I tried to live on my own in a house for a little bit." she smiled. "I still go to see them though." She sat on her knees now. "How old are you? Have you lived here your whole life?"

Atashi laughed at the girl's innocent torrent of questions. "I'm 19 and I'm a freshman in college. I haven't lived here long. In fact, I just moved in today. This will be my first year at the school." She sat on the bed. She loved children. They were so innocent. It always made her happy to watch them. "And it's nice to meet you Noiko-chan. Classes are going to start soon, are you excited?"

"Eh, only a little. I would much rather be out exploring." She smiled and then continued. "It's so much fun to look around the city. I mean you would think after all the things I've found and seen in the city, there wouldn't be much more to look at." She laced her fingers into between eachother and held them against her heart. "There's just so much to look at in one area, I can't possibly move onto the next until I figure out EVERYTHING about it." She smiled. "Do you like exploring to Atashi-Sempai?"

"Oh! Please don't call me Atashi-sempai! Just call me Atashi-chan or Atashi-onee-chan if you'd like." She took the young girl's hand. "Yes, yes I do. Do want to do some exploring right now Nioko-chan? Is there anywhere you'd particularly like to go?"

Nioko smiled. "Well you can call me Nio-Chan!" She smiled. "Let's go to Shizukesa Gardens! It's big there. There's lots to look for." Nioko stood up and pulled on Atashi's hand. "Come on Onee-Chan!!" Nioko was excited to have a older person that liked to explore.
